2013 Events

Search Dog Network Community Events, 2013

Part of our mission is community education and SDN regularly holds or participates in community events designed to provide children, adults, and first responders with information about search and rescue.  SDN has participated in seven such events during 2013.

15 January, Search Dog Network presented a class on the US National Grid reference system to Brazos Valley Search & Rescue.

19 March, Search Dog Network presented a class on SAR Communications to Brazos Valley Search & Rescue.

20 March, Search Dog Network provided a presentation to the Aggie Guide Dogs Group at Texas A&M University.

20 April, Search Dog Network participated in the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, Vet School Open House.  SDN provided an informational booth and demonstration.

14 May, Search Dog Network provided a Search Dogs 101 presentation and Demonstration for the Brazos Valley Kennel Club.

16 June, Search Dog Network provided a Search Dogs 101 presentation and Demonstration for Sam Houston State University Summer Camp for Teens.

21 July, Search Dog Network provided a Search Dogs 101 presentation and Demonstration for Sam Houston State University Summer Camp for Teens.

28 July, Search Dog Network provided a Search Dogs 101 presentation and Demonstration for Sam Houston State University Summer Camp for Teens.

17 September, Search Dog Network presented a class on SAR Communications to Briefing and Documentation to Brazos Valley Search and Rescue.

1 October, Search Dog Network provided a presentation to the SHSU Society of Forensic Science Organization at Sam Houston State University.
