SDN Members Complete NASAR Training

On December 11th eight members of Search Dog Network completed the National Association for Search & Rescue’s Managing the Lost Person Incident (MLPI) course.  Search Dog Network hosted the class with the financial and logistical support of the American Kennel Club and the Brazos Valley Council of Governments.  Other participants came from organizations based across the state including Brazos, Washington, Travis, Leon, and Denton counties.

The MLPI course is designed to prepare participants to manage search operations during a missing or lost person search.  The course covered all aspects of search management including initial response, search tactics & theory, and demobilization.  Over the course of two weekends, the participants conducted multiple tabletop exercises and reviewed case studies.
