Cody

Crazy Cody Joe, a yellow lab, was found in a shelter in northeast Texas in December of 2006.  The Gifted Animal Placement program (www.gapdogs.org) identified him as a potential search and rescue canine.  He met his handler, Christy Bormann (SAR Tech 2), in January of 2007.  He immediately began training for urban search and rescue. 

Christy and Cody are on Texas Task Force 1, she hopes to have Cody certified to FEMA's Disaster Canine standard early in 2008.

When Cody finds his victim buried in the rubble he barks until Christy joins him, then he get's his "tug toy" reward.
