In addition to providing Search & Rescue services in the Brazos Valley, Search Dog Network participated in the following community events in 2008:

14 January, Search Dog Network provided a Search Dog presentation to the College Station 4-H Club.

29 March, Search Dog Network provided an information booth as well as conducted canine demonstration for the Texas A&M Veterinary School Open House.

19 April, Search Dog Network members participated in the See Spot Run’s 3 kilometer walk at Wolf Pen Creek.

2 May, Search Dog Network provided an educational program and canine demonstration at Cornerstone Christian School.

6 May, Search Dog Network provided an educational program and canine demonstration at Stephen F. Austin Middle School.

15 June, Search Dog Network provided an educational lecture on Human Remains Detection canine’s to Sam Houston State University Forensics Program, Criminal Justice Camp.

30 June, Search Dog Network provided an educational lecture on Human Remains Detection canine’s to Sam Houston State University Forensics Program, Criminal Justice Camp.

7 September, Search Dog Network provided an information booth at Responsible Dog Ownership Day.

 11 September, Search Dog Network provided a “meet and greet” with our Search Dogs at the Patriot Day Celebration.

4 October, Search Dog Network provided an information booth at the Safety Sparktacular, Post Oak Mall.

2 December, Search Dog Network presented a lecture and canine demonstration for Sam Houston State University Forensics.
