2011 Events

In addition to providing Search & Rescue services in the Brazos Valley, Search Dog Network participated in the following community events in 2011:

2 April, Search Dog Network participated in the Miracle Farms open house in Independence.  Members staffed an information booth and conducted search & rescue demonstrations.

9 April, Search Dog Network participated in the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, Vet School Open House. SDN provided an informational booth, and had contact with approximately 10,000 attendees.

15 April, Search Dog Network provided a Search Dogs 101 presentation and practical demonstration of GIS techniques to the Blinn College Geographic Society.

26-28 April, Search Dog Network contributed to a combined booth at the 2011 Texas Homeland Security Conference in conjunction with Alamo Area Search & Rescue, Search One, and Travis County Search & Rescue.

19 June, Search Dog Network provided a Search Dogs 101 presentation and Demonstration for Sam Houston State University Summer Camp for Teens

26 June, Search Dog Network provided a Search Dogs 101 presentation and Demonstration for Sam Houston State University Summer Camp for Teens

17 July, Search Dog Network provided a Search Dogs 101 presentation and Demonstration for Sam Houston State University Summer Camp for Teens

29 September, Search Dog Network provided a Human Remains Detection presentation and demonstration for the Southwest Criminal Justice Association meeting in College Station.

1 November, Search Dog Network provided a Human Remains Detection presentation and demonstration for the Sam Houston State University Forensic Science Program.

16 November, Search Dog Network provided a Human Remains Detection presentation and demonstration for the Blinn College Criminal Justice Program and the Texas A&M Aggie Forensic & Investigative Science Organization.
